Stages & Screenpacks
Choose arenas and menus, and resolve common asset references.
A stage is the arena where fighters battle. A screenpack supplies menus, the character select screen, and other presentation elements. The bundled stage and screenpack let you start without importing either one.
Add a stage
- Open Stages in Studio.
- Select + Import stages for a ZIP, or Import stage folder for a folder. A whole
stagesfolder can contain more than one stage definition. - Review the imported stage card. Enable the stages you want, then use Stage order to arrange them.
In Characters → Active roster, a fighter can be assigned an enabled stage. Otherwise, the game uses the default stage selection.
If a stage refers to music that is missing, Studio lists the path under Stages. Import a sound folder in Audio, map a matching track, or choose to omit the music. Build anyway in Build Reports can omit unresolved stage tracks after confirmation; those stages then play silently.
Choose a screenpack
Open Screenpack to keep the default Ikemen screenpack or import a custom ZIP or data folder. A custom screenpack needs its system.def and referenced files. If there are several system.def files, select the intended one from Screenpack definition. Import supporting font or sound folders if the screenpack needs files outside data.
When an asset looks wrong
Open the asset's validation details. Missing files, incorrect paths or casing, unsupported formats, and browser codec limits can affect a stage or screenpack. Try the bundled default to isolate whether the imported asset is the cause. See Troubleshooting for build and runtime checks.
